Polynesian Football Hall of Fame Announces 2015 “Enshrinement Weekend”
The new permanent home of the Polynesian Football Hall of Fame at the Polynesian Cultural Center to officially open January 24, 2015
HONOLULU (July 4, 2014) The Polynesian Football Hall of Fame announced today an expanded schedule of events for the second annual Polynesian Football Hall of Fame Enshrinement Weekend to take place in Oahu, Hawai’i on January 23 & 24, 2015.

On January 24, 2015, the Polynesian Football Hall of Fame will officially open its new home at the Polynesian Cultural Center. The permanent exhibit and display will share the history of Polynesian Football and honor its greatest players, coaches and contributors.
“Our permanent home at the Polynesian Cultural Center will allow us to share with future generations the incredible journey and impact of Polynesian football players, coaches and contributors,” said Jesse Sapolu, Chairman & Co-Founder.
The Polynesian Football Hall of Fame Selection Committee will soon begin deliberation on the Class of 2015. This year, six Inductees (five players and one coach or contributor) will be selected, and announced October 8, 2014. The Committee includes Coach Dick Tomey (Chairman), newly appointed member, past NFLPA President and Inaugural Inductee Kevin Mawae, Coaches LaVell Edwards and Ron McBride, ESPN Sportscaster Neil Everett, NFL player personnel legend Gil Brandt and Honolulu Sportscaster Robert Kekaula.

About the Polynesian Football Hall of Fame
The Polynesian Football Hall of Fame honors Polynesia’s greatest players, coaches and contributors. It also serves as a resource for Polynesian Football history, provides college scholarships for student-athletes of Polynesian ancestry and educational programs for Polynesian youth. On January 23, 2014, football legends Kurt Gouveia, Olin Kreutz, Kevin Mawae, Junior Seau, Jack Thompson, Herman Wedemeyer and Ken Niumatalolo were inducted (Class of 2014) at the Inaugural Polynesian Football Hall of Fame Enshrinement Ceremony.
